ThermiSmooth is an FDA-approved non-invasive skin tightening and smoothing procedure that uses targeted radio frequency energy to stimulate the skin’s natural collagen. Heat is delivered at a controlled temperature deep beneath the skin. The heat and energy induces cell death of fat cells and promotes the production of collagen to tighten and smooth the treated area. It effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles, treats cellulite, and removes fat from stubborn areas.
During the treatment you should feel warmth and heat similar to that of a heating pad. While the heat energy is delivered, the treatment provider works the radio frequency applicator in circular motions over the treatment area. It is a very comfortable treatment and feels like a hot stone massage!
There is no downtime associated with ThermiSmooth. Possible side effects of the ThermiSmooth treatments are usually treatment-site related and include mild discomfort during the procedure localized within the treatment area, such as too much heat. Redness may occur which typically goes away within 2-24 hours. We recommend protecting the treated area from sun exposure with sunscreen to minimize the chances of hyperpigmentation and moisturizing the treated area for one week post-treatment.
